My latest puzzle is about to arrive in OddGoods storefront!
Entitled "Lost Seattle", this puzzle features twelve Seattle landmarks and curiosities that have been lost to time and progress. Creating this puzzle required a significant amount of research tracking down reference photos and getting permission from both institutional and private collections to use them in my artwork.
I would like to thank:
- Hat n' Boots—Library of Congress (mrg 00006)
- Seattle Cedar Lumber Co.—MOHAI (1980.6877.117)
- The Kalakala—Alaska Film Archives - University of Alaska Fairbanks
- The Viaduct—Seattle Municipal Archives (53373)
- Birdland Supper Club sign—University of Washington Libraries, Special Collections (UW 18092)
- Twin Teepees—Patrick McManus
The first thing you will notice is that the style of the artwork is completely different from any of my other puzzle designs. The objects are represented realistically to help imbue them with the historical reverence they deserve ... and you get to see a side of my illustration skills you haven't yet seen.
Every puzzle box contains an 17"x11" poster with additional fun facts about each landmark.
Dive into history with Lost Seattle.
